Hydraulic Foundations

Hydraulic Foundations – $1500 per participant
(24 hour/3 day course – Min 4 Participants/Max 8 Participants)
This course builds technicians’ confidence and capability to work safely and effectively across a wide range of hydraulic systems, progressing from foundational principles to hands-on circuit operation and troubleshooting.
The focus will be on the following areas:
- Understand hydraulic pressure, fluid behavior, and contamination control fundamentals
- Best practices for handling and storing hydraulic oils
- Build strong schematic-reading skills
- Explore hydraulic fluid science– viscosity, contamination, and flow characteristics and how they impact system performance
- Gain hands-on experience with mechanical, pilot, and electro-hydraulic control circuits to understand valve shifting and machine functions
- Apply knowledge in real-world scenarios and practical troubleshooting exercises to diagnose, maintain, and service hydraulic systems accurately and safely
