Technician Fundamentals – $1500 per participant
(24 hour/3 day course – Min 4 Participants/Max 8 Participants)
This hands-on course builds the essential skills technicians need to navigate Cat® service systems, perform basic diagnostics, and apply foundational shop practices that support safe, reliable equipment operation.
The focus will be on the following areas:
- Use SIS 2.0 to locate accurate parts and service information
- Apply Electronic Technician (ET) to retrieve diagnostic codes, check configuration data, and perform OEM aligned tests and calibrations on Cat ECMs.
- Understand and implement contamination control practices in the shop and field to protect component life and ensure system cleanliness
- Develop proper techniques for taking SOS oil samples
- Apply structured processes that support accurate troubleshooting and consistent service quality
